PHILOSOPHY ON BEING A PERCUSSIONIST
Being a percussionist is like being a character actor; you add the perfume to the musical context.
While there is room for some personal expression, it must be with in the context of the music and the gig.
You adapt to the role of the moment and you're functional, interesting and brilliant if possible with detracting from the whole.
You keep the vibe crisp and the groove rolling.
